Before we say good bye to 2004...Can we take a look at it again and see how will it affect 2005.
There is good and bad in 2004 and for 2005...Below is what I think the significant events and the promises of president arroyo that we need to look back at the end of this year (2005) and see really if anything good can happen.
Bad News
Tsunami in Asia, Land Slides in Quezon and in Nueva Ecija because of illegal loggers, Death of Public figures, 2004 Election, Higher Inflation rate, 'Meningo' in Baguio, Passage of foreign entertainers in Japan, Iraq War, kidnappings of filipino workers in foreign land.
Good News
General Garcia and other Army officials are on trial, Forecast Budget Deficit were targetted even lower, Lower Prices of Crude oil, Passage of Sin Tax Law, New Investment in Subic and ECO Zone, Imports are higher, retraction of the Supreme Courts stand on the mining industry, rehabilitation of NLEX
Hopes for 2005
Opening of NAIA 3 in June, Continued lower prices of Crude oil, Army Generals in Jail before the end of the year, Corrupt public official in Jail esp. from BIR and Customs,Start of rehabilitation for the PNR,rehabilitation of SLEX to start, Not to disgrace the tsunami victims but because of the Incident hopefully the tourism industry in our country would improve
Wish ko lang!
Abolition of Congress, More Infrastructures, Passage of other laws within the Agenda of Arroyo, Pollution, Improvement of Traffic in Metro Manila, More Infrastructures
With all this things, what do you think is the future of our country, Is President Arroyo leading us in the right way?

i don't think gma is leading us the right way! since she became the president our economy never improve and as we all know that she is an economist! Gma is surrounded by trapo or what we call the traditional politicians.
How about FG and friends? Do you believe that he is contributing to the slowly degrading popularity of GMA?

Guys, all presidents are sorrounded by traditional politicians. In fact, all of them still won a sit in congress and in the senate. How? well, somebody stupid vote them.
Report says that private companies are doing good but the public sectors aren't.
I'm not saying that GMA is clean and honest, it's just that we have to purge the good that's left.

No, GMA is not leading at all. She is being led by people around her.
I would that congress be abolished and convene a parliament instead.
Abolish as well, pork barrel, PMA or Philippine Millionaires Academy, etc.

Isn't that sad, each one of us express our disappointment to our government and officials. They somewhat forgot their rule to "SERVE THE PEOPLE AND THIS NATION". Hence, WE ARE THE ONE WHO SERVED THEM. There is someting wrong with this. I think it is time to change and we have to start as soon as we can.... :bouncy:

[COLOR=Orange]correct kayo dyan dapat na tayo magpalit ng system of goverment o d kaya palitan nalang natin GMA walang kwenta siyang pangulo.
We have our own share of the pie. Let us not just limit the ineffectiveness of our current problem with the leadership of PGMA. Honestly, I would like to believe we could have a better nation under a semi-martial law environment. Our democracy sometimes degrades our culture. DEMOCRACY can be best practiced only to a certain level... Our legislators should start looking at reviewing again what needs to be improved and should impose measures to make it happen. The law should be strictly implemented.
Just my two cents.Ü

I agree with you. Sometimes people just get in their way without thinking about the law just because the government allows them. On the other hand, the PNP must clean up their ranks as well

:eek3: What is wrong with some of you people? Would you rather FPJ's wife whats-her-name lead the country? God strike us all dead. And if it's Lacson... we'll all be dead. Those who say that our economy hasn't improved since GMA's administration... please research and confirm that fact because you don't know what your talking about! And UTANG NG PILIPINAS ay binabayaran ni GMA. Remember that in Erap's administration, the Philippine debt reached up to 3 trillion pesos, but researchers in Australia say that by the end of GMA's administration the philippine debt will be diminished by 58 percent! Her VAT tax is a success! :teach: Poor people will never see that. They go to the store, see that everything has increased in price, and they're convinced that GMA has blundered once again. Poor, uneducated pieces of @#^! Those who don't know any better open their mouths the widest, wherein those who know better close theirs. :dang: Look in the streets - people in rallies are dirty and smelly, obviously sila yung poor side sa country natin. Where are the rich ones? I've yet to encounter one rallying in the streets. They know better. Please wag lang kayo listen sa mga chismis, or mag basa ng cheap newsapaper. I thank God its she who's president. Susan whatever is an actress people. Come on. Don't make our government the laughingstock of the world. Tinatawanan na tayo dahil may mga actor sa government natin, wag nyong sabihin may people power revolution na naman - kakahiya na, ginagamit lang ng mga pinoy to gain fame. Go home to your families and fix your lives instead of loitering in the streets hollering. Do something productive with your lives instead of lying around waiting for something better to come along. There's a saying "give a man fish, and he will live for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will live forever." Gloria is teaching us how to fish, you'll just have to be smart to see it. I'm not saying she's clean - it's just that she's our best hope.
