Default A dying society - Philippines?

Philippine society has received two death blows. Its days are numbered and it will soon die. As GMA has said, we have a two Philippines. The true Philippines is about to die from severe hemmorhage from the fatal attacks given to body polity. The other Philippines, maybe the one GMA refers to will take its place. But Philippine society, as we have always held dear and cherish is dead. Long live the Philippines!

Two extreme blows killed Philippine society. One is charter change. The other, new taxes. In a charter change, GMA extends her term and so all the politicians without the mandate of an election. Elections will soon be a political tabboo.

Government coffers would be refilled with the revenues generated from the imposed RVAT. This is not to mention the dangers of a re-enacted budget for 2006. A blank check plus the continuing revenue-inflow are just the best of all possible worlds.

As conceived, a dictatorial government is soon to be erected with the concept of a rigid check and balance entirely thrown in the graveyard. How can you speak of democracy when this scenario soon unfold?

The opposition are a pack of artists. They are part of the Big League in a zarzuela being pulled like a mere ritual. All the legal niceties have already been custom-made for the new government to be in place.

The military or police cannot takeover the reins of government. There is no such thing as idealists officers in the AFP or PNP. They all are within the commerce of men. Everyone could be boxed in and everyone simply succumbs to the pressures of the powers that be.

We do not have heroes for heroes are dead. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a dying society altogether. It has lived in vain.

Truth is, we don't stage peope power every election, did we?

You should try to think and talk carefully so that you are better understood.

Did you never want a revolution? Someday, I hope you will.

Default Eh?

Did you read what I posted?

I stated that I didn't want any more People Power Revolutions...

Ever sins I wez born, the prezes had bin dishposed op bay da rebolushun.

Well.... over-all effect mas maganda naman talaga ang charter change diba?

Think about it. Not just on the whole GMA-for-charter-change thing.

The Whole Country Will Benefit.

Just stating naman my opinion on this matter.

Peace Out!
