Default Rp Sending Aid To Hurricane Katrina Victims?

GREETINGS FORUM MEMBERS,

IT WAS INDEED A HUMANITARIAN ACTION TO HAVE SENATOR RICHARD GORDON TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE VICTIMS OF HURRICANE KATRINA. AS ACTING GOVERNOR OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL RED CROSS, SENATOR GORDON HAS THE CAPACITY TO TAKE SUCH ACTION DESPITE OUR PRESENT ECONOMIC CRISIS. THESE ACTIONS WOULD SURELY ALLEVIATE THE FLIGHT OF THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS WHO LOST THEIR HOMES AND OTHER BELONGINGS DURING THE DISASTER. IN THIS REGARD, WE JUST CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER; IF THE GOOD SENATOR STILL REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE STILL THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES DISPLACED BY THE RECENT CALAMITIES IN AURORA AND QUEZON PROVINCES BROUGHT ABOUT BY TYPOON LAST DECEMBER!. HAVE WE IMPROVED THE LIVING CONDITION OF OUR OWN PEOPLE WHO SUFFERED THE SAME FATE AS THOSE AMERICANS WHO'S GOVERNMENT ARE SPENDING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WAGING WAR IN IRAQ?. I REMEMBERED THAT THE RELIEF OPERATIONS IN AURORA AND QUEZON ARE CONDUCTED BY ABS-CBN FOUNDATION AND NOT BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES!. NOW, OUR GOVERNMENT WILL SEND SOME AID TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. VERY NOBLE!.

Angry True True True!

Greetings,

How right! Obviously, our people need it more than they do. America is a rich nation, while the Philippines is a Third World Country, lowest among the low, with America on the top of the list militia wise. While the country is still reeling from recent calamities, there goes the good senator showing a good front to the Americans. How noble indeed!

Peace!

Hello!

Thank you for such a nice reply. The good senator has contended that the funds are intended for Filipino-Americans living in New Orleans. However, these Fil-Ams are citizens of USA and are intitled to all the previleges of any Americans. They are the responsibility of the Federal government as they had sworn to uphold the constitution of the United States of America. Anyway, if it is for humanitarian concern; then it is a noble cause. I just hope that the administration is not up to any political agenda regarding this matter.

Thank you and peace indeed.
