Default The song remains the same!

Greetings forum members,

The 60th anniversary of the united nations was marked by previledge speeches by world leaders which are self serving as it seems. Although they dicussed poverty and hunger, as well as the economic future of the third world nations; no difinite solution was defined. A rich nation such as the United States is in no position to give aid while it is having its own crisis back home and George Bush is aiming at recieving than giving. The bottomline is that the United Nations is acting in favor of the U.S. to keep it more safe and secured while other nations suffers more. No wonder Bob Geldof is singing the same song since the Live Aid era to provide aid to the famine in Africa. Now Mr. Geldof is having a seat at the UN and hopefully would not give in to the demands of the influential countries and give more priority to the needs of deserving countries in Africa.
